Obbligato is a small manufacturer without large corporate overhead costs, providing a product that performs above its price bracket. Description
This is Obbligato’s most premium Capacitor. Obbligato differentiates the Silver Series as being “super transparent”, and the Copper Series as being “smooth and neutral”.
Previous Obbligato capacitor lines included Copper (2009), Gold (2009), and Ultra (2018). In 2022 and 2023, manufacturing improvements allowed Obbligato to replace those lines with the Current Copper and Silver series. Both of these product lines use a metal outer casing/shield, which is not in the signal path. The Silver Series outer casing is of a magnetic material.
The previous 2009 Gold series was replaced by the 2022 Copper series. The 2018 Ultra series was replaced by the 2023 Silver series.
