Obbligato Copper Series

Description

This Copper Series capacitor replaced the 2009 Gold Series.  Recent improvements in manufacturing have simultaneously enabled product enhancements and cost reductions. This Copper Series brings improvements above the previous Gold Series, which was routinely praised for its performance and value. Additionally, those improvements are also accompanied by cost savings.

Both lines of Obbligato capacitors present an incredible value. Obbligato differentiates the Silver Series as being “super transparent”, and the Copper Series as being “smooth and neutral”.

Previous Obbligato capacitor lines included Copper (2009), Gold (2009), and Ultra (2018). In 2022 and 2023, manufacturing improvements allowed Obbligato to replace those lines with the Current Copper and Silver series.

You may notice that there are no Copper Series capacitance values offered below 1.0 uF.  They are in production, but for those smallest values, we found that the comparative cost to upgrade to the Silver Series (within $1 or less) was small enough that we encourage you to select the Silver Series for those small values below 1.0 uF. We will add those values below 1.0uF to the Copper Series in our next restocking order.
